Meet Nayana Mam

Nayana Katrodiya was born and raised in Aktariya village, Gujarat. From a very young age, she was captivated by colors, patterns, and design — long before she ever thought of it as a "career." As a child, she would spend hours practicing on the floor of her home, experimenting with lines, symmetry, and shapes, slowly turning a simple childhood hobby into a deep, lasting passion for the art of rangoli.

Life, however, was not always easy for her. Along the way, Nayana faced serious family struggles, and she took on the responsibility of raising two children while trying to hold everything together. Many people in her position might have set aside their art to focus purely on survival. But Nayana refused to give up on rangoli. Even during her hardest years, she kept practicing, kept improving, and kept believing that this art form could become something bigger — not just for her, but for others too.

Over the next 22 years, that belief turned into a mission. Nayana went on to teach rangoli to more than 2,000 students — children and adults alike — patiently guiding each one from their very first shaky lines to confident, polished artwork. Today, Nayana Katrodiya stands as a proud World Record Holder in Rangoli Art. Through her studio, Kalaarpan Art Class, she continues to train students across India, passing on not just technique, but the same passion and persistence that carried her through her own journey.
